Sarah “Sally” Sharp was born in Macon, Missouri on January 8, 1943, to her parents Mary Edwards and Richard Dysart Sharp. Sally’s mother was a school teacher and her father worked for Standard Oil. At 16 her family moved to Pacific Palisades Ca. Sally graduated from Santa Monica H.S. in 1962 and then began her career as an airline stewardess with Pacific Air Lines. Through a series of mergers and acquisitions that involved Hughes Airwest, Republic Air Lines, Northwest Airlines and finally Delta where she retired in 2007. Sally flew trips to Sydney, Seoul, and Tokyo. Many of her coworkers became lifelong friends
Sally is survived by her love of 22 years, Roger Wardley of Concord, Ca, her brother Tom Sharp of El Cajon, CA and her cousins Rick Sharp of Chanute, Kansas and Daniel Forney of Moraga, CA. Services were held on Feb 3rd at the first Presbyterian Church of Burlingame. There will be a “Celebration of Life” held for Sally at 12:30p on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Kincaid’s in Burlingame.
