LESLIE JOSEPH MORROW Les Morrow of Paradise, CA joined his Lord on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the age of 74. Les was born to the late Leo and Thelma Morrow on April 9, 1940 in Hartshorne, OK. He is survived by his wife, Marlene, daughters Angela Morrow and Lisa Morrow Hostek, grandchildren Lesley Morrow Spence and C.J. Spence, Lauren Cartwright and Dylan Morrow Cartwright, brother Rodger Morrow, and was blessed with a large loving family. Les joined the US Navy at 18 and served four years, ending up in Monterey, CA where he met the love of his life, Marlene. They married in 1962 and started their family in the Monterey area. After relocating to Paradise in the mid-70s he attended Chico State studying Psychology and Economics, while working for the airlines. He retired from Northwest Airlines after 30 years and then pursued his love of real estate as his second career. While in real estate for the last 28 years, he was a broker and co-owner of a Realty World office. He served as board president and on several committees throughout the years. He enjoyed working with clients and considered them friends. Les was an avid golfer since the age of eight and had started earning money as a caddy at a country club in Denver; sometimes carrying golf bags bigger than he. He played consistently through his life and often traveled to play in airline and real estate tournaments. Always a believer, Les rededicated his life to Jesus Christ in 2007 while attending a Billy Graham Crusade. Les soon found a home church where he became a member and served as a Deacon, Treasurer and Sunday School Teacher up to the time of his passing. Les truly loved his church family. Services will be held at his home church: Paradise Ridge So. Baptist, 6975 Pentz Rd., Paradise, on Saturday, October 4th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American
Heart Assoc.
