HILL, Harry James “Jim” 79 Years of Life Harry James “Jim” Hill went into the arms of the Lord on December 16th, 2013, with his loving family by his side. Jim was born January 26th,1934 to Anne and Harry Hill in Los Angeles, California. He was raised in Tulare, CA., where he met and married his wife, Cassie Hinkle. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 to 1957 where he followed his dream to work with airplanes. He was an aviation mechanics specialist for several airlines including West Coast, Hughes Airwest, Republic and Northwest Airlines for nearly 35 years. His career led his family to live in Los Angeles; Seattle; Tempe, Arizona; Spokane; and Apple Valley, Minnesota; before retiring in Deer Park, WA. He gave all of his time and love to his family and friends, and was adored and cherished for his kindness, sense of humor and the twinkle in his eye. Everyone who came in contact with him walked away with a smile. Jim was an active member of St. Mary Presentation Parish in Deer Park and was proud to be a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Council 9721. He and Cassie were married 56 years and were blessed with nine children: Karen and Alan Arnzen, Joan and Monte Asken, Jenny and Dean Stephens, Jeff Hill, Dave and Amy Hill, Dan and Angela Hill, Ted and Mindy Hill, and Katie Hill; fifteen grandchildren (who adored their Papa); his brother and sisters: Bob, Patricia, Kay and Sue, and many wonderful nieces and nephews. He joins his infant son, Joseph, grandson Vinnie, and his parents, as well as many other loved ones in Heaven. His family thanks Adult Daycare Center Spokane, Northwest Neurological, and Nancy and Bill for their loving attention to Dad and supporting our family through his journey with Parkinson’s Disease. Holy Family Hospital, 4th floor E. and Horizon Hospice were wonderful during his last few days on Earth. Donations can be made to the St. Mary Presentation Parish Building Fund (P.O. A vigil will be held at St. Mary Presentation Parish in Deer Park at 7pm on December 27th and the Funeral Mass will be at 11am on December 28th. with Rev. Msgr. John Steiner celebrant.
