FRANCIS KAUTZMANN Francis “Frank” Kautzmann passed to the loving arms of his Lord Nov. 13, 2012. He was born to Frank and Eleanor Kautzmann Nov. 18, 1944, in Bismarck, N.D., and grew up in Tacoma, Wash. He transferred to Las Vegas with Hughes Airwest in 1973. Frank was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his beloved wife, of 29 years, Sharon; son, David (Paula) Kautzmann; daughters, Paula (Eddie) Hedlund and Karen (Danny) Panzer; son, Gary Smith; daughter, Tiffany (Peter) Lowther; sister, Judy (Pete) Pietenburg; along with 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his father-in-law, Charles Segobiano. Frank graduated from Bellarmine Prep and Seattle University. He was in the U.S. Air Force serving his country proudly in Vietnam, Idaho, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and the Philippines. He retired from Hughes Airwest in 1985 and entered into the insurance industry. He was still working in the industry until his death. Frank thoroughly enjoyed traveling and sports. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and followed the UNLV Rebels. He loved playing golf with his close friends. Frank was a charter member and past President of the Summerlin Rotary Club and past President of Faith Lutheran Jr/Sr High School Board of Directors. He also greatly enjoyed the monthly Hughes Airwest retiree breakfasts. Viewing will be 1-2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 18, with funeral services and fellowship to follow, at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 8901 Del Webb Blvd., Las Vegas.
