Dennis passed away suddenly on New Year’s Day, 2014. He was born October 6th, 1939 in Yakima, Washington, where he graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1958. Dennis was an avid athlete, playing football, basketball, and baseball. He graduated from the University of Washington where he was a member of Theta Chi fraternity. In 1960 he married Anne Edinger. He began his career as a teacher at Hamilton Junior High School in Seattle Washington. He then became an airline pilot for many years, beginning with West Coast Airlines, which then became Hughes Airwest, Republic Airlines, and eventually he retired from Northwest Airlines. Being a pilot was the love of his life, and his favorite airplane to fly was the DC-9. His other passions in life included golf, skiing, boating, fishing, traveling, gardening, antiques, and spending time with his beloved daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports, attending Jackson High School games, and he was a loyal Husky fan. Dennis was loved by all who knew him, and he was quite a character. He will be dearly missed and he will be forever in our hearts. He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Lillian Brannan and by his sister, Nancy. He is survived by his daughters, Jenifer Brannan Kontyko (Marty) and Alison Brannan Coacher (Tom) and four grandchildren, Kaitlin and Molly Kontyko and Emily and Denny Coacher.
