Bennett, Charles Richard,75, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 26, 2017 at UC Irvine Health Center in Orange following a brief illness. Charles was born April 10, 1942 in Auburn, Nebraska and was a long-time resident of Southern California. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Laurie Kling & husband Bob, Cherie Brown & husband Scott; his granddaughter, Taylor Knese & husband Jason; granddaughter, Elizabeth Kling; grandsons, Daniel Kling and T.J. Brown; great-granddaughter, Olivia Grace; brother, Andrew Bennett & wife Shirley; sister, Portia Doval & husband Jim; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, Ole Remus Bennett and Mary Patricia Frain. Charles retired from Northwest Airlines and was always especially proud of his service as an Omaha, Nebraska police officer which he served for 7 years prior to relocating to California. He lived a simple life and enjoyed time with his children, loved watching movies and taking long rides on his motorcycle with his brother up and down the coast of sunny California. His passion for life was incredible and he was an inspiration to all of those around him. He will be missed dearly
