Dick Tribe
July 7, 2002

I first heard the name of Dick Tribe by reading the press release in 1968 when Air West accepted multiple delivery of  three new DC-9-30s from McDonnell-Douglass in Long Beach and flew them "in formation" to Phoenix.  Dick flew the third "9" in that formation with Bob Manning.  It was a pleasure to meet him 10 years later as I traveled about the US aboard our many charter flights .

Dick passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2002 as a result of pancreatic cancer.  He flew for over 30 years before retiring in January of 1989.
