Master, Ralph Stanley 71 Nov. 14, 1939 Nov. 11, 2011 Ralph died peacefully at home, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was born in Oakland, Calif., to Joseph F. Samuels and Marie Meister. He moved to Portland and attended Mt. Tabor Grade School, and graduated from Washington High School in 1958. Ralph loved airplanes. He began his airline career with WCA in the early 60's and retired from Republic in 2003. In the '60s, Ralph got his private pilot's license and loved relating stories of his flying adventures. Ralph was a gifted artist; he also enjoyed reading history books and working on classic cars. Best of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He retired to Hood Canal, Wash., to fulfill his dream of living on a golf course and playing golf daily. Ralph is survived by daughters, Valerie and Laura Master; his partner of 25 years, Sue Doctor, and her children, Kim and Brenda, John and Michelle, Heather and Mark Laber; grandsons, Matthew Doctor, Jonathan and Andrew Laber; granddaughter, Ashlie Doctor and great-granddaughter, Auzriel Doctor.
