Daphne was the switchboard operator for many years in san Mateo at the corporate headquarters. She she retired from NWA as a reservations agent for NWA in the Seattle area.
Daphne E. BAILEY Daphne E. Bailey of Federal Way died March 9, 2006 in Federal
Way, Washington. She was 75. Born July 3, 1930 in Rollett, North Dakota, she
lived in Federal Way for 15 years and was a Reservation Agent for Northwest
Airlines for 35 years. Daphne loved acting and was a member of Dolly's Plus 1 at
Highline College where she also took an Art History class. She also loved
traveling, reading and flowers. Survivors include her sons Denny and wife Diane
of Kent, and Steward and wife Lynn of Chicago, Il.; step-son Richard Bailey;
brother Gordon Fish of Las Vegas, NV; sisters Elois Boppre of Bottineau, N.D.,
and Nancy Lee of Sacramento, CA; 4 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. There
will be a viewing from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 14 at Edline-Yahn & Covington
Funeral Chapel and a Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, at
Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Covington. A graveside service will
follow at Washington Memorial Park.
